#89 Mobs grant full exp regardless of damage dealt to them
Status: Duplicate · Area: NPCs & World · Mobs & Creatures
Dealing even 1 point of damage gets full XP if others finish the mob, whereas Classic required at least 40% of the damage.
Current behavior
Related to: https://github.com/ClassicWoWCommunity/forever-bugs/issues/26 Doing at least 1 point of damage to a mob grants full exp if another player does the remaining amount of damage. In classic it used to require at least 40% of damage to be done by you to get exp from other players and 51% from NPCs assisting you. Guard experience is also seemingly random - sometimes full exp, sometimes partial exp (at varying % of mob health damaged - including as little as 1 point of damage done).
Expected behavior
You should be required to do at least 40% of the mobs HP in damage yourself to get (full) experience if the remaining 60% is done by other players. You should be required to do at least 51% of the mobs HP in damage yourself to get (full) experience if the remaining 49% is done by NPCs.
How to reproduce
Player Tagging: 1. Hit a level 1 mob at level 1 yourself for any amount of damage (or at any other level) 2. Get a player to do the remaining amount of damage 3. observe you get the full (50) experience points NPC Tagging: 1. Hit a mob for varying amounts of damage 2. See different experience gains, seemingly randomly
