#76 Hunter - Auto shot sound doesn't trigger while channeling Aimed shot
Status: Open · Area: Classes & Specs · Hunter
When Aimed Shot overlaps an Auto Shot, the shot still fires and hits but its sound does not play.
Current behavior
When Auto Shot is about to fire, and the player begins channeling Aimed Shot such that the channel overlaps the moment Auto Shot is scheduled to release, the Auto Shot audio cue does not play. The shot still occurs: Projectile launches Damage is dealt Combat log shows the event …but no sound plays. This is the primary and most reproducible case. There are also occasional reports of the same audio suppression happening when: Multi‑Shot Arcane Shot …are cast extremely close to the Auto Shot firing moment. These are secondary cases and far less consistent than Aimed Shot. No macros, toggles, or attack commands are involved — this is purely an overlap between ability usage and Auto Shot’s firing moment.
Expected behavior
Auto Shot’s audio cue should always play when the shot is released, regardless of: Aimed Shot channel overlap Multi‑Shot or Arcane Shot cast overlap Any other ability intersecting the Auto Shot firing moment The audio event should be tied to the actual firing of Auto Shot, not suppressed by concurrent spell usage.
How to reproduce
Begin Auto Shot on a target. Track your swing timer. Start channeling Aimed Shot so that the channel overlaps the moment Auto Shot is scheduled to fire. Observe: Auto Shot fires normally Audio cue does not play Repeat several times — suppression is easy to reproduce. Optional: Cast Multi‑Shot or Arcane Shot extremely close to the Auto Shot firing moment Observe occasional audio suppression
