#426 Demonsage has extremely poor node availability

Status: Awaiting review · Area: Items & Loot · Loot & Drop Rates

Demonsage nodes are very rare because they spawn only near fel pools in Hyjal, making them hard for gatherers to find.

Current behavior

Demonsage is a fel infused version of mountain silversage. The nature of mountain silversage is to spawn on mountains/hills. Thats condition 1. Demonsage only spawns near fel pools in Hyjal. Thats condition 2. Both of these conditions must be fulfilled for a new spawning node to even have the chance to be a demonsage. The current amount of nodes that meet these conditions are likely too low to provide for an entire zones worth of gatherers. For an entire week of being 300 and gathering at Hyjal ive only gotten 2 Demonsage nodes versus 10 or so Black Lotuses and a plethora of other high level herbs.

Expected behavior

Relax conditional requirements for demonsage. DaeGun is the demonic subzone in northern Hyjal, they could allow for spawns there additionally.

How to reproduce

1. Get to at least level 25
2. Train up to 300 herbalism
3. Go to Hyjal Zone
4. Gather herbs, paying close attention to the only two areas with fel pools (Tainted Foothills & Felblood Scar)
