#411 [Mage] Scroll of Imbue Iceknife Bugs
Status: Fixed · Area: Classes & Specs · Mage
The Iceknife scroll's Frozen effect gets overwritten by other mage roots, and casting mobs finish their spells anyway.
Current behavior
- Bug A: Iceknife's "Frozen" debuff is overridden by any other mage root, such as Frostbite procs. Due to the ways autos come out in melee this often leads to the case where the delayed hit the mob is doing procs frostbite and overrides the frost tomb effect of Iceknife, which doesn't feel that great mechanically. The later prevents damage from being done by the mob and isn't broken on damage, while the former is a root that doesn't prevent the mob from attacking and can be broken on damage. Not sure if this is intended or due to the way its spell ID is programmed. - Bug B: Caster mobs continue to finish their casts when procced by Iceknife's “Frozen” debuff. Any casting mob that gets procced by Iceknife during a cast will finish the rest of its cast uninterrupted. This definitely seemed unintended.
Expected behavior
- Bug A: If Iceknife's debuff is already on the target, don't remove it if Frostbite procs. - Bug B: Casting mobs that are procced by Iceknife have their cast interupted.
How to reproduce
Bug A: 0. Imbue Weapon with Iceknife. Buff self with Frost/Ice Armor with Frostbite Talented. - 1. Auto-attack a melee mob until both Iceknife and Frostbite procs simultaneously (Easier when the mob is running towards you with both autos coming out the same time). 2. Notice the ice tomb from Iceknife is removed while the Frostbite root remains. Bug B: 0. Imbue Weapon with Iceknife. - 1. Auto-attack a caster mob during the middle of it casting a spell. 2. Notice the spell resumes casting uninterrupted until completion while the mob is in the ice tomb.
