#354 Grounding Totem after change on 10/15/26

Status: Fixed · Area: Classes & Specs · Shaman

Grounding Totem now breaks when it redirects non-damaging spells, but it should only break on direct damage spells.

Current behavior

Grounding totem now breaks when it redirects nondamaging spells. the blue post stated "Grounding Totem is now correctly destroyed after redirecting a spell."

Expected behavior

Grounding totem is only supposed to break when redirecting direct damaging spells. Atleast that was how it worked in 2019 classic. There is a clip from a pvp video I found showing it in 2019 classic wow. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/2d0dc709-df3c-4504-abdd-43b0c683604c

How to reproduce

1. Drop grounding totem
2. have someone cast a non damaging spell that normally wouldn't break it. Examples: freezing trap, warlock curses and non instant dmg dots.
3. grounding totem breaks
