#35 Eureka! does not consume charges on damage-over-time effects already active

Status: Fixed · Area: Classes & Specs · Warlock

If a Warlock applies damage-over-time spells first and then uses Eureka!, those DoTs get boosted the whole time without using up any of the 3 charges.

Current behavior

Eureka! (Gnome racial) reads as a 3-charge buff: reduced cost and 10% increased damage or healing on the next 3 spells or abilities. In build 1.60.1.69913, it does not behave as a charge-limited buff with respect to damage-over-time effects already active on a target. If a Warlock applies DoTs first and then activates Eureka!, every DoT already ticking on the target is boosted for the entire buff duration, and those ticks do not consume any of the 3 charges. The charges stay available for direct casts afterward.

Expected behavior

The DoTs need to be reapplied for the DoTs to affect their full duration. Currently, Eureka behaves as "Deal 10% more damage until 3 spells are cast". Alternatively, if this is intended behavior, the tooltip could be clearer.

How to reproduce

1. Be a Gnome Warlock
2. Apply DoTs (Corruption, Bane of Agony, Immolate).
3. Cast nothing else. Activate Eureka!.
4. Watch DoT damage go up without consuming charges or the need for reapplication
