#289 Auto Shot is still 0.1-0.2s cast time
Status: Closed · Area: Classes & Specs · Hunter
Auto Shot's cast time on Forever is only 0.1 to 0.2 seconds versus 0.5 in Classic Era, so it is almost impossible to interrupt.
Current behavior
While the retry timer/auto shot cast time is 0,5s on Classic Era, on Forever it is still 0,1-0,2s at most. That is a 60 to 80% buff compared to Classic Era. It makes it very unlikely to cancel an auto shot making it very permissive. I thought it'd be fixed today but it's not. You have to try very hard to succeed canceling an auto shot cast. I just logged on hunter on Classic Era and u have to actually stand still there, waiting for the auto shot to cast. This is night and day. Warriors have 1 entire second cast time on shoot, interruptible by 0,9s attack speed claw spamming, flurried cat (i guess casting prevents dodge and parry too), and arrows from the max ranging Cheetah hunter, that can just cancelaura Cheetah after the arrow finally succeed casting, and then travels. Considering the forecast being 20% pick rate for that class, that change feels very unhealthy. Hunters are also melee fighters, so why would warriors be this penalized at range ? 1 entire interruptible second was already painful on Vanilla but this hunter change is unfair. If this is intended, please consider updating warriors too at least.
Expected behavior
Auto shot would be fairly delayed by cast time, letting room for punishment.
How to reproduce
Start casting auto shot then move to intentionally cancel it. Then do the same on Classic Era. The difference is easily noticeable.
