#243 Spell Power weapons almost non-existent from World Quests

Status: Awaiting review · Area: Quests · XP & Rewards

Casters rarely get Spell Power weapons from regular quests, so they depend on dungeons for upgrades while questing.

Current behavior

At level 24 as an Alliance Dwarf Shaman I have yet to find a single non-dungeon quest that has granted me a Spell Power weapon, despite numerous quests that award physical DPS weapons and Wands. This puts casters at a massive disadvantage and makes our weapon progression dependent on farming weapons from dungeons, removing the feeling of incremental upgrades, and doubling as a pain point when spell damage has been shifted more into Spell Power. I would love to see the team do a Quality of Life pass over quests to add more options for casters so that questing is a bit more impactful and less painful for casters. I'm aware of a few quests on Horde side that also provide weapons, but I'm worried that questing across the board from 1-60 will be more painful for casters than it was in Vanilla without running many dungeons for upgrades due to this.

Expected behavior

Quests should provide more incremental upgrades for casters (namely Spell Power gear, especially Weapons) like they do for Physical DPS.
