#234 Deep Wounds using incorrect formula
Status: Fixed · Area: Classes & Specs · Warrior
Deep Wounds only uses the weapon's base damage and ignores attack power, so its bleed ticks are only 3 to 4 damage.
Current behavior
Deep Wounds appears to calculate its total bleed damage using only the weapon's base item damage range rather than total character sheet average weapon damage. As a result, Attack Power (AP) is omitted from the calculation, leading to significantly lower tick values than expected. Current: With 1/3 Deep Wounds (20%) and a character sheet weapon damage range of 101–129 (average 115), individual ticks deal 3 to 4 damage.
Expected behavior
Expected Behavior Deep Wounds should calculate total bleed damage using the character sheet's full average weapon damage, which includes Attack Power scaled by the weapon's actual weapon speed: Total Bleed Damage = Talent % * ((Character Sheet Min + Character Sheet Max) / 2) Damage Per Tick = Total Bleed Damage / 4
How to reproduce
Learn Deep Wounds Score a melee critical hit on any target. Compare the Deep Wounds tick damage in the combat log against the character sheet's average weapon damage.
