#153 Macros don't inherit previous line states
Status: Awaiting review · Area: Classes & Specs · Druid
When a macro changes your state on its first line, such as shifting form, later lines only work on a second button press.
Current behavior
When using a macro that _changes_ your character state, any subsequent lines within the same macro require a secondary button press to activate. As an example, this commonly used macro for Vanilla Druid players must be pressed twice to achieve its intended effect from caster form, when it used to require only one press. /use !Cat Form /use Prowl > Note: there is a second, already reported bug with the ! conditional in macros, but that is not relevant to this example, as it also doesn't work when the ! is absent. This is likely a symptom of the migration to the Retail macro system (changed in tww), but the key difference on Retail is that these abilities were baseline changed to automatically change your state when pressed e.g. using Prowl will shift you into Cat Form and then Prowl, without a macro. This behaviour is not present in Forever, and so macros achieve the same thing as pressing each of the buttons individually with an equal number of required key presses.
Expected behavior
The above macro should shift you into Cat Form if not already in it, and then use Prowl, with a single button press, but the state is not being updated until the second press.
How to reproduce
Recreate the above macro. Press the macro once. Observe that you do not enter Prowl.
