#110 Skyborne Horde Rogue Lockpicking Quest full lockout
Status: Open · Area: NPCs & World · Travel & Zones
Skyborne Horde Rogues do not receive the required tools and items for a lockpicking quest, so they cannot finish it.
Current behavior
On picking up the quest Plundering the Plunderers (ID: 2381) on a Skyborne (Horde) Rogue, the NPC Wrenix the Wretched (ID: 7161) issues the player the quest, which seems to trigger the NPC Wrenix's Gizmotronic Apparatus (ID: 7166) to set off the red fireworks display (spellID: 6668) as well as emote in chat. The Gizmotronic Apparatus's emote, as well as the quest text, instruct the player to interact with the Gizmotronic Apparatus to receive Thieves Tools (itemID: 5060, via spellID: 9949 - Thieves' Tool Rack Conjure) as well as an E.C.A.C (itemID: 7970, via spellID: 9977). The fireworks display is triggered, however the Skyborne Rogue receives neither thieves tools nor the E.C.A.C. As the quest target item (itemID: 7968, Southsea Treasure) is not contained within the final lockpicking quest chest, but instead dropped BY Polly (npcID: 7168) who cannot be successfully fought and killed without the E.C.A.C, this prevents Skyborne Rogue from finishing the quest successfully.
Expected behavior
Wrenix should offer quest, as usual. Gizmotronic Apparatus should spawn on quest acceptance, either spawn a container containing the required items OR place them in player inventory via the aforementioned spells. Skyborne Horde Rogues should be able to complete quest as normal via feeding Polly the E.C.A.C, killing it, and looting the quest item.
How to reproduce
1. Have a Horde Skyborne Rogue level 16+ 2. Receive quest directing you to Ratchet to speak to Wrenix the Wretched 3. Speak with Wrenix 4. Note the presence of the Gizmotronic Apparatus, the emote spam in chat, and the fireworks display, with a tangible lack of quest item providing behavior on its part.
